After the holiday cooking and hosting, let us take care of dinner.

Join Bosma Estate Winery and Chef Gilbert Kalombo of Lion Chef Africa for five Zambian-inspired courses featuring his warming spices and distinctive flavors, each paired with a Bosma wine.

For the evening, we’re opening our Vault to share the 2021 Merlot, 2020 Clone 4 Cabernet Sauvignon, and 2022 Straight Shooter. You’ll also taste the 2020 Clone 4 alongside the newly released 2024 vintage—a chance to enjoy two expressions of the same wine, side by side.

Make it a date night, plan an evening with friends, or give someone a night out you’ll enjoy together. The menu and wine pairings are already planned. This time, you get to enjoy them.

Menu & Pairings

First course

African ground nut soup
Curried sweet potato, cauliflower, and African ground nuts.
2021 Merlot · From the Vault

Second course

Peach ricotta focaccia crostini
Honey balsamic glaze, lemon zest, sea salt, and black pepper.
2023 Coalesce

Third course

Nectarine salad
Bleu cheese, smoky pistachios, and Zambian black honey and preserved lemon vinaigrette.
2025 Rosé

Fourth course

Grilled filet mignon
Bush tomato and pepper berry jus, purple sweet potato purée, and bordelaise sauce.

Fifth course

Apple flan
Brown butter almond soil, Zambian black honey caramel, and strawberry whipped cream.

Optional Vault wine purchases
Guests may also purchase select wines from the Vault separately from their dinner tickets. Orders must be placed by 9 p.m. on Saturday, January 16, the night of the dinner.
Wines will be available for pickup at Bosma Estate Winery the following day, Sunday, January 17, or may be shipped for an additional charge. Bottles will not be available to take home from the dinner. Vault wines are subject to availability, with dinner guests receiving priority if quantities are limited.
